Remember to File Tax Returns on January 31st Deadline, Failure Attracts Sanctions – LIRS Tells Employers

By Matthew Ukachunwa
Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has urged employers not to fail to file the Annual Tax Returns of their employees on January 31 deadline.
LIRS warned that failure to meet the deadline will attract sanctions.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the revenue agency said that employers can use the LIRS online platform for the filing.

It reminded employers that filing of tax returns is a statutory requirement covering detailed returns and employee earnings and tax deducted.
